Refund Policy

Quick summary

1. Automatic Delivery Refund

Every number activation includes a built-in delivery guarantee. If you do not receive an SMS within the activation window (typically 20 minutes), the cost of that specific activation is automatically credited back to your NumberOTP wallet balance — no support request needed.

This refund is applied by our system at expiry and will appear in your transaction history immediately.

2. Balance Refund (14-Day Window)

If you top up your balance and decide not to use the Service, you may request a refund of your unused balance within 14 calendar days of your most recent top-up, subject to the following:

  • The refund applies only to the portion of balance that has not been consumed by activations
  • Free promotional credits (e.g. signup credits) are not refundable
  • Minimum refundable amount is $1.00
  • Refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days

3. Non-Refundable Items

The following are explicitly non-refundable:

  • Activations where an SMS was delivered, even if the code did not work on the target platform
  • Activations manually cancelled by the user before expiry (partial refund at our discretion)
  • Free signup credits
  • Balances in accounts suspended for Terms of Service or AUP violations
  • Balance purchased more than 14 days prior to the refund request

4. Anti-Abuse

To protect the integrity of the platform, refund requests are reviewed for abuse patterns. We reserve the right to deny or reduce refunds in cases including but not limited to:

  • Multiple accounts created to exploit free credits or the 14-day refund window
  • High volume of refund requests relative to successful activations
  • Accounts flagged for violations of our Acceptable Use Policy
  • Evidence of chargebacks or payment fraud

Accounts found to be abusing the refund policy will be permanently suspended with no further refund rights.

5. Chargebacks

Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us will result in immediate account suspension and may affect your ability to use the platform in future. We encourage you to contact support first — most issues are resolved quickly.
